This includes oesophagogastric cancer with extended lymphadenectomy, bariatrics (gastric band, sleeve gastrectomy and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass) and benign oesophagogastric procedures (Nissen fundoplication). The focus is upon delivery of minimally invasive surgical techniques. Expanding areas of clinical interest are the development of minimally invasive techniques for oesophagogastric cancer resection, including robotic assisted surgery. With regard to bariatric surgery, there is an evolving focus upon revision cases, together with the emerging fields of metabolic and adolescent surgery.
