Matthew Jubelius is the President & CEO of Amoveo Training which specializes in simulations, immersive employee development and performance-based debriefing. Matthew is described by his peers as forward-thinking and passionate in the field of simulation-based education and training in relation to applied and experiential learning. Since 2010, Matthew has been part of simulation-based education and training communities provincially, nationally and internationally. Matthew has attended the Institute for Medical Simulation in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he completed training in partnership through Harvard University and Massachusetts Institution of Technology to earn his graduate- level certificate in simulation. Matthew was selected nationally to provide consultation for Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) – A science and technology research agency within the Department of National Defence that explores simulation and immersive training. Matthew was an invited guest lecturer and has served as an expert panelist at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in the field of immersive learning and development. In 2013, Matthew was the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni: Rising Star Award from Lethbridge College for his work in simulation. Matthew was instrumental in overseeing the design and development of simulation education, including operations at Medicine Hat College and has led numerous applied research projects including Data Collection of Paramedic 230 CPR Performance Using High Fidelity Patient Simulators. Matthew’s background is in Cardiovascular and General Systems Intensive Care as a Registered Nurse. He has experience as a clinical nursing instructor and is active within the simulation education and training communities. Matthew has served on national and provincial committees including the Canadian Network for Simulation in Healthcare (CNSH) and the Alberta Research, Innovation, Scholarship and Education in Simulation (ARISES). Matthew has had the opportunity to participate in scholarly activities on local, provincial, national and international levels.
